Two things to know before you touch it: every clip carries an invisible SynthID watermark and C2PA provenance tags, so it’s labeled as AI-made. And the free tier (Shorts Remix + Create) is the one most creators will actually use day to day.

How to use it in YouTube Create — step by step

This is the practical setup, the way I’d run it on a real Short:

1. Open YouTube Create (or tap Remix on a Short) on a phone signed in to an 18+ account.
2. Find the AI generate option and describe one shot in plain language — be specific about subject, lens feel, lighting, and motion. Vague prompts give you the generic look everyone else gets.
3. Generate, then refine by chatting — that’s the “Omni” part. Ask it to change the time of day, slow the motion, tighten the framing. Iterate until it matches the rest of your reel.
4. Drop it into a single slot — a transition, an establishing shot, a piece of B-roll. Don’t build the whole Short out of it.
5. Keep your hook human. Generate everything except the first three seconds and the moments where you’re on camera.
